Summer 2021 Interns

Summer interns at FBAMC find themselves not only working on service projects with some great volunteer groups, but they also get to enjoy some good ole Appalachian culture and hospitality! Part of the FBAMC summer internship includes an introduction to Appalachian history and culture.

Our interns this year were Clark Stiteler and Dozy Ononuju, seminarians from the Diocese of Harrisburg and Caleb Gettlefinger from Berea College. The interns had the opportunity to speak with clean water activists from Martin County, Ky, tour the only guitar factory in Eastern Kentucky and the Appalachian School of Luthiery, attend a Sundy Best concert and ended their summer with an airboat tour along the Hatfield and McCoy trail in Matewan, WV before their private tour of the impressive WV Mine Wars Museum.

FBAMC has truly been blessed to have these interns as part of our program this summer. We are honored to be a part of their spiritual journey!
